American Express Travel Forecast for 2006

American Express is predicting a 5-8% increase in in short-haul domestic airfares for U.S. and Canada's for 2006.
Standard corporate rates for mid-range hotels in North America is expected to increase from 0-3% with upscale hotels increasing their rates between 2-5%. European hotels are expected to raise their rates from 1-3% for mid-range hotels and 2-4% for upscale hotels.
The cost of a rental car in North America is also expected to increase 7-8% for the coming year.
