B&B listing website directories

I'm putting together a list of directories for B&B owners to post on my next blog story (right after I post the story about Trip Advisor) and I need help from you guys telling me your experience with directories.
Like HomeAwayFromHome - it's a large vacation rental directory that owns A1rentals and several others is it worth it?
What about BedAndBreakfast.com ?
And also there are the free directories like the excellent InnSite.com
I want to show in my article real important stuff like how many click throughs people have experienced from different directories (that is the true measurement as your logs don't lie).
Please post your experience with directories here. My blog is
http://myblog.rainforestinn.com and the Trip Advisor Tips and Tricks I will be posting next week is really worth the read.

Innstar.com provides reviews of many directories and provides a rating system. I don't always agree with the ratings and statistics are questionable as it is only based on traffic to one B&B with 1 room in one location.
In general, I think it is better to teach innkeepers to evaluate a directory than to just give a review. The directory may change and make improvements or actually get worse and a snapshot in time review may then end up misleading you. Here is some advice on how to choose a Bed and Breakfast Directory.
Many of the most effective directories are actually the local variety that are specific to your region not the newest international startup directories that are popping up faster than they can handle. Most have a bad business model where they are in it to sell services to innkeepers, but forget to actually keep focussed on offering services to travellers. They can't help innkeepers if their site is not created for potential guests.
Another good recommendation is to ignore any requests from startup directories that are sent out as spam. I get 3-5 per week, chuckle at the outrageous claims (most of which are incorrect or lies) and then toss it in the trash. (SPAM should never be rewarded) _________________ Steve Wirt Wine Country Cabins Bed and Breakfast in the Finger Lakes and Inngenious Bed and Breakfast Website Promotion
