Thoughts About Acquiring a Victorian Mansion

[Editors Note: this is an old posting, but the content seems valuable, se we decided to leave it in the blog]

I'm thinking about selling my current facility and relocating one block down the street to a Victorian mansion. The mansion has been on the market for several months. When it first came on the market, the asking price was $400,000. This price has droped to $379,000. I am reasonably certain that I could acquire it for $325,000.

Transitioning a home into a B&B

aquiring a loan for a B&B takes a lot more money than we have in purchasing a turn key B&B. My husband and I want the dream of owning a B&B and from doing the research that we have, I would think that purchasing a home large enough to start small and then building on as the business grew would probably be our best option. We are currently looking to move and our new location is limitless.
