Peanut Butter Bread

November 21, 2004

by Kit Cassingham

All you need is a bit of jelly to put with the peanut butter and you have a complete snack or meal.

2c flour
1c sugar
1t salt
2t baking powder
1c peanut butter
1 egg
1c milk

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

Mix the dry ingredients.
Beat the egg with the milk and add to the dry, blend, mixing gently.
Pour into a small, greased bread pan.

Bake for 1 hour.

NOTE:
My peanut butter preference is crunchy. And I like the extra texture in this bread.

If you double the recipe, pour the dough into a standard loaf pan. The oven temperature should be lowered to 325 degrees. Bake until a toothpick comes out clean.

This is also good as muffins.
