Protecting Intellectual Property

We have been prepairing for our Bed and Breakfast for a few years now and don't plan on opening for at least another 5 years (we want all our kids in Kindergarten before opening). However, we want to get a business license and protect our name/logo while seeking funding etc.
How do we go about protecting the concept when we are showing our plan off for potential funding help and not risk loosing our idea to someone who can implement it faster than we can. This is my dream and I am a bit cagey about showing it off because I would hate to loose this to someone else. We'd like to consult a lawyer who has experience in the BandB industry. Any referrals in the Southern Arizona area?

I'd love to say that you don't need to worry about someone stealing your dieas, but I've seen it happen so can't be so naive. Protecting your ideas is a good idea. You must have something special planned to be so cautious with the ideas. I can't wait to learn more about it -- after you've protected the notion.
I don't know any attornies in Souther Arizona, especially those who specialize in hospitality law or business. Check the yellow pages, ask around, and trust your instinct. Check with the ABA and the local law school to see who you can find to help you.
Good luck!
